Jeff Dowsing has just released a novel, Undercurrents. Here’s the blurb:
In the aftermath of a gut-wrenching trip to Gunnamatta, teenager Jack McIvor and father Mick are barely treading water. Between waves of discontent, a crashing cover drive and the alluring prospect of one Katrina Jensen provide Jack at least two reasons to continue fighting the tide. But the past continues to haunt the McIvors who find themselves on a collision course with another deadly threat.
Set in Melbourne’s hard boiled northern suburbs of the late 1980’s, Almanac contributor Jeff Dowsing’s debut novel ‘Undercurrents’ has something for everyone in this layered blend of action, drama, tragedy, romance, crime, colloquial humour, nostalgia, music, sport and more.

Congrats JD. Terrific work. If the early drafts are anything to go by you would be doing your selves a favour Knackers.
Well done Jeff. I too can highly recommend this book. Engrossing read with a distinctive 1980s soundtrack.
Good on ya Jeff. I’m expecting a swag of XTC mentions.
