Almanac Music: The Hip Replacements

Who else but 3 guys in their 60s could come with such a fab band name as The Hip Replacements. Check out an iso performance by the band.

The Hip Replacements

The Hip Replacements consist of three guys all in their 60’s who share a love of rock, jazz and blues, and just having fun together.

They have played in bands around the Geelong and Colac area since they were in their twenties!

Grounded in the Beatles & Stones and with a tongue in cheek approach to writing their own songs (such as ‘Seniors Card Blues’ ), they been entertaining audiences in the Western District of Victoria for the past 8 years.

This clip features the Hips performing the Ray Charles classic ‘Georgia’. Each member recorded their part at home in the true COVID spirit. Hope you enjoy it! Peter Corcoran is on drums and lead vocal, Neil McPherson upright bass and Tony Forbes guitar.
