The U17 boys have had an unfortunate start to the season, with their opening game being called off due to rain. The lads started off strong, scoring 117 of 12 overs, with a run rate of 9.7 and an estimated score of 293. Gavin Reynolds was on fire, with 33* off 13 balls, and was accompanied by both openers retiring (Ben Whytcross 42 retired and Ollie Delaney 20 retired). Before the game was started, the leadership roles were announced, with Gavin Reynolds and Ben Whytcross being announced as the co captains, with Ollie Delaney as vice captain. A good sign despite the rain.
