Almanac Horseracing – Vote for Super Seth in the All-Star Mile

Here at the Almanac we’re trying to get Super Seth into the All Star Mile, the field for which is decided by popular demand. Vote for Super Seth HERE.

Why Super Seth? Well, some of us took the $16 on offer in the Caulfield Guineas during the Spring Carnival and sweated on the dramatic finish. The Almanac’s very own ‘Smokie’ Dawson got even better odds – he got on early. That’s because Smoke is a part-owner of the (very) talented three-year-old. And that’s a very good reason to get behind this colt. Read about the Guineas win here. Now watch the race below.

What a blistering finish – Super Seth in overdrive, Alligator Blood looking like it’s wading through treacle!

Now ‘Smokie’ and his co-owners are hoping to get Super Seth a start in the All-Star Mile to be run over 1600m at Caulfield on Saturday 14th March. Same racecourse, same distance as the Guineas. The omens are good, so vote for Super Seth here.

Horses gain entry into the race based on the number of votes registered on The All-Star Mile website. That’s right, the public chooses the field! (Use the link above to register your vote.) At the time of writing, Super Seth has the tenth highest number of votes in a packed mid-field battle for final places. Your vote can make a difference.

The Almanac is pleased to support ‘Smokie’ and his co-owners and encourages readers to vote early!

  1. Any support is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks all.

  2. Tried to vote but couldn’t get it to work unfortunately,Smokie ( nothing would happen re next step )

  3. I will not be supporting Super Seth in any way. Count yourself lucky – my support has been known to stop a runaway freight train. Good luck.

  4. Yeah good luck Smokie, from one horse owner to another, but ……………

Like Rulebook, I tried to vote but also nothing happened re next step.

  5. Whilst we’re talking about the nags great seeing Tumut races on the TV Saturday. ( Not good for my pocket though; no comment about Another Jay Brown’s non,run in R 4).

First TAB meeting in Tumut since 2001. How about having a TAB meeting at Berrigan ? The last TAB meeting there was circa May/June 2002, as i was in Corowa for my grandfathers funeral.

Always good seeing bush race meetings in the small towns. Considering the recent fires around Tumut these races would have been good for the community spirit.Country Racing; it’s great, mate !

  6. Good luck Smokie. Hope your colt gets in. Keep us posted. BTW, Alligator Blood seems a very handy type too!
