AFL Season 2023 – Tip the Top 8
After seven rounds of the official count of the Footy Almanac Tip the Top 8 Competition for 2023, at the Royal Melbourne Hotel, the leaderboard looked like this:

It turned into a tense count. After the final round this was the result:
E Regnans 134 (winner – $410) He chose Freo sixth and they finished fourteenth. There were 41 paid-up tippers.

You are welcome to have a crack at the Footy Almanac Tip the Top 8 Competition for the 2024 season.
Email me the teams you think will be in the Top 8 at the end of the home and away season (Round 24) in order.
You score is tallied by subtracting the actual position of the team form where you had it in your Top 8, squaring that result, and adding the 8 scores together.
For example:
If I have Geelong finishing 4th and the finish 10th, my score for Geelong is 4-10 = -6 (-6)x(-6) = 36.
And so on for each of the teams in my Top 8. Obviously, the lowest score wins.
Last year the scores were high, mainly because of Geelong and Freo.
It costs $10 for each entry, winner take all. Please pay at the time you enter.
Entries close with the bounce of the ball on March 7.
