Almanac Footy – The 1964 Grand Final

 

Melbourne defeated Collingwood in the 1964 Grand Final, winning by four points and holding onto the slender lead as Collingwood held the ball deep in attack. It remains their most recent Grand Final victory. On Saturday, they have the opportunity to break the longest current Premiership drought in the AFL.
