Almanac Footy History: Chris Kiernan – Help!

Citrus Bob Utber is seeking the assistance of Almanackers to track down further information about Chris Kiernan, the footballer who failed to front up for Fitzroy in 1899 Grand Final against South Melbourne.

Bob is doing homework for his book and is clutching at straws at the moment.  Research has shown Chris Kiernan played with Brighton in the VFA but he can’t find his name anywhere.  Of course he could have played under a nom de plume as many did in those days.

Below is a photograph of the 1912 Brighton VFA team which may or may not include Chris Kiernan. If anyone is able to provide names for any of the players in the photograph, or any information about Chris Kieran, Bob will greatly appreciate your assistance.
