Almanac Events: Ansell family sports night
An important night for the Payneham Cricket Club to raise money for Senior Men’s Coach Chris Ansell and his family. Chris’s wife Bec recently had a brain aneurysm and has completely lost sight in one eye with a significant loss of sight in the other eye. Understandably this has put severe financial implications on the family.
Hosted by Malcolm Ashwood and John Harms, it’ll be a great night filled with sport and candid health related discussions from SA Sporting Legends.

If you can’t make it please still consider donating by purchasing a ticket as all proceeds will go to the Ansell family.

This was an excellent night which raised $12,000+ for the Ansell family caught in a difficult situation created by a sudden and debilitating illness to Bec. Chris Ansell is the coach of Payneham CC.
Wayne Phillips is a natural, Peter McIntyre has an interesting story (especially about the timing of his career) and Micahel Aish had plenty of footy yarns (seemed like a lot of Norwood fans there).
Hats off to Rulebook who, with the support of some others, got this going. He will never say so, nor expect this acknowledgement, but without Rulebook’s drive, this is not the same night.
All the best to you Bec and Chris and the kids.
Fantastic night for a great cause – massively appreciate you giving up you’re time and help – JTH
It was a night filled with emotion and genuine quality – Flip – Macca and Aishy superb as well xxx
