The 2025/26 Ashes series begins at Perth Stadium tomorrow, the first time an Ashes Test has been played at the ‘new’ Perth ground. To date, all Ashes Tests in Perth have been played at the WACA.
We thought we’d go back over the years to look at all 14 Tests played in Perth since it became a Test venue in 1970. For a trip down memory lane to revisit each game at a venue that has been a happy hunting ground for Australia click here.
Then use the Comments section below to let us know your favourite memories from those games. Greg Chappell’s debut century? Dougie’s six off the last ball? Mitchell Johnson running riot?

My favourite? Ian Redpath in that first game – as Australia chased England’s first innings of 397, Redpath came in at 3/17 and departed at 7/393 with 171 next to his name. Added 26* in the second dig as the match wound down to a draw. ‘Redders’ held it all together as GS Chappell burst onto the scene at the other end.
