AFLBJ Under 14 Div 1 Grand Final – Sandgate v Wests: That’s the siren

The Wagner family is synonymous with the Sandgate Football Club in Brisbane. I studied with Glenn at the University of Queensland and many a conversation turned to footy. They were 16 points down with six minutes left and kicked a couple of goals.

    What a finish!! Brilliant!!

  2. Glen’s father (?) won three Sandgate B and Fs in the 60s when they were a feared QAFL club. His brother (?) Scott won 3 club B and Fs in the 90s. His son/nephew (?) Corey is going to the draft camp (refuse to call it combine) … hope i have got that right … great footy family and fantastic people mb

  3. And his son captained the premiership winning under 13 team on the previous day, and was best on the ground for the grand final

  4. Unfortunately people the ball was touched and the goal umpire was an ex or current Sandgate player. I was right on the line so Wests were robbed! And my son plays for Morningside!

If the field umpire had set the mark correctly, the kick would have landed over the fence.

  6. Loved how close the umps came to calling for a video review.
    Wonderful unbiased commentary too.
    Great stuff
