Footy is alive when the Tiger Army is on the march.  Ivan the Lionheart; Big Jack; and Bachar the best sweeper in footy keep the pulse alive.

Adelaide in Adelaide; Sydney in Sydney – no worries.  But Saints at the Dome?  You know it makes no sense – but that’s the enigmatic Tigers and Season 2014 for you.

Out with the old Magpies; Kangas and Bombers.  The newborn Suns and the reborn Tigers and Eagles are on the march for the bottom end of the Eight.

Let us know your tips for the Round, and your Final Eight.

Over here at Almanac West we are suddenly like the kid in the lolly shop.  Too much footy is never enough.

Eat ’em alive Eagles (and Cats).

Over to you, Knackers.

  1. The Goddard and Chapman scowls as they left the ground could strip paint. Watching their superannuation sink down the drain.
Bugger the Federal Court. Let Hird back as coach, and sentence the Bombers to 9th for the next decade.
As a neutral I love watching the Tigers win when they are outsiders, and sink like stones as favourites.
All I need is a Dockers humiliation to the Cats; and my Eagles to play with the same abandon as last week against the Magpies; and I’m suddenly back in love with footy again after 3 months trial separation.
    I’m excited.

  2. Paddy Grindlay says

    WE ARE COMING!!!!!
Go you mighty tigers! One thing that’s definitely changed is that Richmond never, ever stopped. They would not let Essendon control the game once. Where’s that been for 4 years?!

  3. Watching Heppell do a great deal of not very much reminded me that he won the Rising Star over Shuey Most teams need/want/accept the Dyson type player. If he worked harder for his own ball from time to time, he’d earn more respect.
Riewoldt takes some good marks and when he works hard the rest of the team does too. You’d have to call Essendon sullen when they lose.I’d rather see a team disappointed and cranky
Some possible results would have the Eagles climb a little
.I see the Eagles winning by a bit. Witts won’t hold his own

  4. The Tigers are showing fight on the field. The Blues showing fight outside nightclubs at 5am. Where is the People’s Elbow when you need him???
The official line from Almanac management is that he is on a planned vacation. Police sources suggest he had his typing hand fractured in a nightclub brawl last weekend, and that Mitch will be pressing charges. Peoples’ is pleading justifiable homicide.
He has been stood down from the Podcast while Almanac management investigate his involvement.
