Authors O’Shannassy & Whimpers (L-R)

The University of Adelaide Cricket Club (The Blacks) celebrated its centenary in 2008. Authors O’Shannassy & Whimpress trace the origins of the Club, its impressive development, the impact of two World Wars, the lows and highs – culminating in 2020-21 with a 5th A grade premiership, the formation of a women’s team in 1947, the many distinguished names past and present in the development of the Club. The book has been deeply researched in the University archives and presents a superb photographic record. Event appeal to interest history and development of cricket, not only at the University in the State.

What’s the best way for a Melbournite to get hold of one of these Bernard?
