G’day to everyone in the Footy Almanac community.
The Footy Almanac website is back up, and running, and we will continue to bring you stories as we have done since 2009.
Unfortunately, last Friday, we had to shut down the website while we dealt with a number of pressing matters which needed to be addressed before continuing. Our apologies for that, but we felt it was the best way of dealing with the situation.
These issues have been resolved sufficiently for the site to be operational and public again. We have a way to go yet.
The overall structure, function and appearance of the site remain the same but you may notice some changes to how individual stories look when you open them. We’re doing what we can to make this temporary.
Thanks, especially, go to James Demetrie, of Diskman (our major sponsor), Paul Noonan and our team of editors.
Thank you for the many enquiries about the state of play. We find the sentiments you conveyed and the concern you showed very heartening.
Regards,
JTH and the crew.

JTH is a writer, publisher, speaker, historian. He is founder and contributing editor of The Footy Almanac and footyalmanac.com.au. He has written columns and features for numerous publications. His books include Confessions of a Thirteenth Man, Memoirs of a Mug Punter, Loose Men Everywhere, Play On, The Pearl: Steve Renouf’s Story and Life As I Know It (with Michelle Payne).
He can be contacted [email protected]
He is married to Susan. They have three school-age kids – Theo, Anna, Evie.
He might not be the worst putter in the world but he’s in the worst four.
His ambition was to lunch for Australia but it clashed with his other ambition – to shoot his age.

I was in Adelaide on Saturday arvo for an AUFC Blacks reunion – I fielded quite a few concerns about the Almanac.
