Young FIDA stars set to shine

FIDA’s annual North v South game is this Sunday 18 May at Jordan Reserve, Chadstone.

This year the game highlights the skills of FIDA’s younger players, with all players under 21.

Three players each, from 13 FIDA teams,  have been chosen for the squads.

One of the youngest is up and coming Williamstown ruckman, 14 year old Yaser Shubeilat, who will be playing for North.

“The game is a great chance for our younger players to play representative football and gives them the opportunity to push for state selection for the national carnival later this year,” said FIDA’s football administration manager Logan Whitaker.

“I’m sure all players will represent their individual clubs, and FIDA,  with great distinction on Sunday.”

The game begins at 12.30pm. Jordan Reserve is on Huntingdale Road, Chadstone (Melways 69 K1)

FIDA is a league in Victoria  for footballers with an intellectual disability.
