As a kid in my first job as a copy boy at the Adelaide News I was at Adelaide Oval phoning through as the match progressed copy for the sports journo Lawrie Jervis Jnr. In the taxi ride back to the office with Bill Teubner bill said he thought he had taken a really great pic. How right he was.
As a 12 or 13 yr old I saw this fab. mark while selling ice creams etc every Saturday. I barracked for North’s. One match against Glenelg Ian from fullback ran to the centre, passed to a player, received it back and ran on to kick a goal. This was into the last quarter while being well down to the tigers.
