During May at RRRTAG, local artists along with artists from around Australia, will exhibit work in response to the theme:

‘The Art of Sport’

‘Sport is Life…The beauty and the artistry; the camaraderie and the conflict; the highs and the lows; the tribes and the celebrations; the loyalty and the manipulation’

Works in the exhibition will include cartoons; collage; digital photography; glassmaking; printmaking; painting; textile/fibre, and sculpture.

Nathan Patterson (artist and designer of several AFL Indigenous Round Guernseys) along with Bob Utber (CEO SportsWeb Consulting; passionate supporter of Art & Sport and Grandfather of current Brownlow Medallist Patrick Dangerfield) will talk at the opening about the links between art and sport and how sport, like art, allows us to experience all manner of emotions, pathos, conflict, drama and wonder.
