Stereo Stories: 10th anniversary concert
Williamstown crime writer Smokie Dawson heads a stellar cast of drawcards for the 10th anniversary Stereo Stories concert, to be held on Friday evening 14 June at the Williamstown Town Hall.
Smokie, who will be setting aside his Swifty Taylor stories for the evening, will narrate two stories of music and memoir, backed by The Stereo Stories Band.
His fellow guest writers are Paulie Stewart, Annette Trevitt, Gemma Keating, Martina Medica, Brian Nankervis, and Andy Griffiths.
Andrew Gigacz said of last year’s show: ‘The night was one great song and story of humour, love, loss and more after another. What a brilliant, uplifting and rewarding show. I will not miss the next one.’
Tickets for Stereo Stories are selling fast.
The 2024 concert is part of the Williamstown Literary Festival, a 60 event weekend which also includes John Harms talking sports writing with Alicia Sometimes on Sunday afternoon, 16 June.
Occasional Almanacker Hugh Jones will be launching his book Two Good Friends One Great War on Saturday afternoon, 15 June.
