Spring night—
the packed MCG
the whole world
shorter nights
we skip
to an early lead
petals falling
too quick to catch one—
Crisp scampers up the middle
home game—
an away goal
barely fills the silence
the crowd in raptures
for the new King
Daicos III
deep in September again
growing used
to growing older
final siren
the moon halos
the stadium
