Round 9 – Haiku Bob: same but different
cat mauling
same
but different
handball chain –
floodlights casting shadows
we cannot touch
second-half collapse
the ground strewn
with dead leaves
goal after goal
the bathroom tap
that won’t turn off
sinking to defeat
the night’s slow
death
leaving the game early
streaks of rubber
on the road
trying
to sleep off the loss
a yowling cat
