winter drizzle
starved forwards skirmish
for crumbs
cold winter light
every shot for goal
misses
even though
I’ve heard it before
the first goal
still single
this week I fall in love
with Brodie Mihocek
winter rain
I wipe my hands
after Billy drops the mark
swaying branches
every now and then
a pass connects
scattered crowd
still some dreamers
among us
