Round 20 – How are the fingernails? Incredible results!
Round 20
Amazing!
The first four games completed of Round 20 have all been won by less than a goal!
One by 4 points, 3 by 3 points.
Can’t remember the last time this happened, I imagine the scribes and pundits are madly pursuing the records at the moment.

Nothing wrong with the game, leave it as is.
I’ve “borrowed” the information below from the Big Footy website.
V/AFL rounds with 4 games decided by under a goal:
1938 R13
1960 R13
2003 R11
2011 R01
2016 R21
2017 R14
2018 R20
Round 13, 1938, was remarkable in that 4 of the 6 games were decided by a solitary point.
And another one under a goal! 5 out of 6 games, amazing!
Thanks for the info FitzroyPete.
My pleasure, Col.
The stats people on the Big Footy forums are usually on the money.
I wonder how many thrillers we’ll get in tomorrow’s three games!
I didn’t think we’d get that nail biter last night. It was a relief to leave with fragile cuticles!
Sorry yours swung the wrong way Colin.
This was an incredible round, five close ones and four blowouts.
Maybe encouraging more scoring is not the solution to the problem? just saying!
Full agree with your views about scoring, Joe.
Just as cricket doesn’t need a barrage of boundaries to be intriguing, neither does footy require a glut of goals.
I’m an AFL neutral these days, so a match where one teams boots 9 goals and the other 8 can be just as captivating as a 19 goal to 18 shootout.
