autumn dusk ~

the full forward

rooted in the square

 

 

 

autumn ~

a whole quarter

without a goal

 

 

 

tinged leaves ~

little bits

of good play

 

 

 

goalless quarter ~

still roaming half-forward

the ghost of Daicos

 

 

 

floodlights ~

Collingwood

overshadowed

 

 

 

trembling leaves ~

the winger sits under

a hospital pass

 

 

 

autumn night ~

the sound of the last

goal

  1. Well played HB. Proves my theory that a losing game provides the wistful ennui necessary for good haiku. Should be a bottler season for the magpies (haiku).
