Round 10 – Brisbane v Geelong: A Haiku Review

Round 10
Brisbane v Geelong
Thursday 14 May 2026
‘Gabba, Brisbane
A Haiku review of the game at the Gabba
Geelong faced Brisbane
In the Grand Final rematch
A wet Gabba night
The Cats started well
The Lions responded hard
But ran out of steam
The Cats turned the tide
Seven goals either side of
half time broke the wall
Bailey Smith was hot?
Mannagh was even hotter
Mullin ran both ways
Jack Henry’s decoy
Kept Harris Andrews at bay
Neale took advantage
Jezza had both arms
Tom Stewart had a mission
Bruhn was free to play
By night’s end Geelong
Were forty one points the good
No flag but great win
Sydney Swans are next
Top of the ladder battle
Knock them off too Cats
