Almanac Footy History: Documentary – ‘The Mighty Hawks 1873-1985’

I suspect this doco was made in the mid-80s. Why was a Geelong supporter looking through? To find some info on the Hawthorn committee of the early days.

Well, it’s amazing who you see. Check out the Almanac’s grammar advisor, proof reader and regular luncher and his good mate who is a Top 8 pre-season form analyst.

They’re ‘Supporters’ when they appear relatively early on in the piece. They appear in their pomp.

Can someone fill us in on the story behind this doco please.

I’ll do some more digging but the presenter Stewart Faichney played the role of Billy Snedden in The Dismissal mini-series.

Pity Hawkeye didn’t proof read the sub-titles #Dipierdimeico

Either old mate Stewie did all of those interviews on the same, very long day, or he only owned one set of clothes.
