Haiku Bob – Round 9 – in the blink of an eye

the wingbeat
of magpies
end to end goal

shorter days
in the blink of an eye
Wells kicks the first

dropped mark
a moment later
another dropped mark

full moon
running rings around
their defenders

night haze –
DeGoey takes the shape
of Daicos

the rattle
of empty beer cups
consolation goals

  1. Very nice, Haiku.
I’m really liking De Goey – although I haven’t watched a full Collingwood game. He seems to kick beautiful drop punts – has a strong core and kicks through the ball.
For me, Daicos was a master of controlling the bounce and the banana, does De Goey have this in his game too?
