Haiku Bob – Round 19 – in a patch of sunlight

deep twilight

the last few claps

from the grandstand

winter’s day

in a patch of sunlight

Darcy’s mark

at the end

of my tether

a flukey goal

the goal he missed

spring thaw

close finish

the crowd all pointing

their heads

will that be today’s

last goal?

spring nears

the melancholy

of an inconsequential win
