Haiku Bob – Round 18 – all the way home

six goals up –
sunlight floods
the forward line

gusty breeze –
just as the crowd dies down
another goal

longer days
what DeGoey can now do
lingers

contrails –
so many routes
to goal

late winter –
more and more stars
in our line-up

winter evening –
the win follows us
all the way home

Comments

  1. In much the same way
as we cry to the Heavens (“Yeehhhs”)
    as a (Magpie) goal flies through;

So your as ever poignant haiku echo
    the heart-warming feelings that resonate
    – long after the final siren.

  2. The Rhymer says

    Love your work Bob
