Grand Final – Adelaide v Richmond: Musically Inspired?

So as we all know it’s been 35 years since the Tigers made it to the big dance (sorry, can’t help using an Americanism for an Australian game). In honour of this and in an attempt to entertain and inform the masses at the same time (and half inspired by an upcoming Ashes series featuring the Barmy Army, with the other half coming from Crow tragic Greg Champion), I’ve tried to integrate some of the names and things that have been associated with Tigerland over the years. Yes I’m aware of missing a number of names and events but I can’t fit them all in, otherwise I would have tried to do this to November Rain instead of We Didn’t Start the Fire.

But the day has come when pain is gone and gone and gone and gone……

Unfortunately I think the Crows will win but perhaps this may be the highlight for the Tiger Army. For the record this took an hour to come up to match names with the tune (not easy when I wanted to ensure names like Czerkaski and Honybun got a run).

  1. Interesting song Mick!!

It reflects on how Richmond have been struggling. You could sing and upload on YouTube.

    Cheers

  2. Joe De Petro says

A well-spent hour, Mick. Kudos for fitting in Czerkaski and even remembering Jurica and Rombotis.
