FIDA Seagulls take minor flag

Williamstown Seagulls are the FIDA Division 1 minor premiers after winning a tough outing last Sunday against the much-improved Wyndham Tigers. The cold and blustery conditions at Williamstown’s Fearon Reserve saw the home team squandering opportunities early in the match, while Wyndham always made the most of its limited forward forays.

Kelvin O’Connor played one of his finest games, spurring the Seagulls to victory in the final home and away match of the season. Josh Knight was always dangerous on the forward line and ruckman David Henderson once again put his body on the line for his team.

In the other Division 1 game Kananook did not quite have things all their way before winning by 19 points.
