crio’sQ?…budget buys!

Not a lot of people saw Tino Best make the highest score for a Number 11 in Test history.
It’s a “dead rubber”. The first 2 days were total washouts. The Windies had limped through a gloomy 3rd day to finish at 8/280. And…general admission was over 40 quid!
Cold. Gloomy. Irrelevant.

The SAJC – often quite rightly maligned – made a bold call when they “got” Black Caviar.
No gate hikes. $10 per Adult.
Result?…sellout crowds.

There are still some sports events that are great value, whilst others are extortionist.
The AusOpen ground pass still qualifies as top value I reckon. Less so the Ladies’ Final.
Any others to add?

Sunday afternnon just gone I ventured to Princes Park to see the Australian Under 18 championship game between Vic Metro and Tasmania. An opportunity to see the future stars in action. Cost: Free.

This weekend there are games across the country with the pick being Vic Metro v SA in Adelaide on Saturday and WA v Vic Country in Perth on Sunday. More information found at http://www.afl.com.au/development/nabaflrisingatarsprogram/nabunder18s/tabid/276/default.aspx
