Zoe Osborne is a journalist and photographer based in Vietnam. Her first Almanac article explains how the annual ANZAC Day AFL match in Vung Tau is inspiring true-blue mateship between Australia and Vietnam.

The match is held in acknowledgement not only of Australian troops but also of the Vietnamese, and a close community of cross-cultured AFL lovers is growing around it, bound together by footy, beers and Aussie meat pies.
