Smokie Dawson (of SBS’s Tour de France coverage) had not realised the similarities between his family’s European holiday and that of the trail-blazing Griswalds. He’s proud to continue a fine tradition.
A Day At The Tour
The Dawson’s European Vacation is going just fine, if Chevy can get the kids off the i-pods and drive in a manner which keeps his poor wife sane. But it’s all for a good cause: to see The Tour live. [Great stuff, Smokie – Ed]

[Up there with Litza – Ed. And please note Smokie will appear at the footy night at the Willy Lit Festival this Wednesday May 29. Details in the Calendar above.]

Third Test – Day 1: I won’t talk about it here
Smokie Dawson does not want to be mean-spirited, so he will not talk about the hubris affecting the Australian National Selection Panel, leading them to select an unbalanced line-up for this Test.
Third Test – Day 4: Don’t dream. It’s Over.
Smokie Dawson suffered nightmares of being locked in the Channel 9 commentary box the night before the fourth day of the Test. Worse was to come.
Second Test – Day 2: Imagine Smith in a baggy green!
Watching Graeme Smith compile run after run, Smokie Dawson began to wish he was Australian.
