About David Wilson

David Wilson is a writer, editor, flood forecaster and former school teacher. He writes under the name “E.regnans” at The Footy Almanac and has stories in several books. One of his stories was judged as a finalist in the Tasmanian Writers’ Prize 2021. He shares the care of two daughters and a dog, Pip. He finds playing the guitar a little tricky, but seems to have found a kindred instrument with the ukulele. Favourite tree: Eucalyptus regnans.

  1. Congrats JTH and crew. Just had a look at the site stats for 2015 and the readers/hits increased again over the year. Up by 5,000 overall, with a very impressive daily average of 2,072 readers/hits a day.
Test cricket let the side down a bit in December – lowest for 4 seasons. But even Dickens (Charles or Barry) could only wrench so much out of the dross the ICC serve up.
Onward and upwards for 2016 ladies and gents. At least it gives us readershits something to grizzle about.

  2. Kath Presdee says

Should be able to do either Day 2 or Day 3. Happy to slot in wherever the selectors need me most.

Looking forward to making my cricket debut at the SCG

  3. PB – good spotting. Yes, well done to all involved.
I read your post a few times but failed to detect any hidden desire to cover events at the SCG.
Let me know if I’ve missed something.

K Presdee – on debut. Superb. Any of Day 2 or 3 would be great. Happy to leave it you and which circumstances work out best. I’ve put you down for Day 2 on the schedule as a maybe.
    Good on you Kath. Thanks.

  4. Hey e.r.,
I might have a crack at Day 1 if that’s ok.

  5. crankypete says

Bruce Yardley’s 45 off 33. That was probably as fun as test cricket got. Loved that day.

  6. Smokie- thanks. Perfect.

Cranky- any planned or unplanned observations of SCG2016 welcome.
