Was so disappointing for Alan Richardson in 1990, had only just cemented his place in the team and was playing good footy. Tristian Walker was in no way a replacement for Anthony Rocca in 2003!
Well-researched Rodney. Some hard luck stories and redemption for others.
Was McStay injured or omitted from the 23 Grand Final?
Hard to believe that players like Eade, Knights and Silvagni were dropped for the big one.
Thanks Dan sorry that was an error McStay was definitely injured.
Agree re Knights, Eade & Silvagni.
Silvagni had struggled with Glandular Fever and never followed recovered. Knights retired at end of 85.
Richardson was a hard luck story as was Ron McKeown Luke.
