Almanac Poetry: Young Björn Encounters Sigrid

Young Björn Encounters Sigrid

In every Swedish
adolescent rite-of-passage movie,
there’s a blonde busty passionate Amazon,
in her middle twenties,
who startles the virginal teen male lead
by taking off all of her clothes.
She tenderly strips the young man nude
then instructs him, slowly, in the act of love.

Nothing like this ever happened in my Australian boyhood.

  1. george smith says

Better than French movies, when after the relationship is err, consummated, someone gets shot!

  2. Kevin Densley says

Yes. I agree, George – much better!

  3. Eloquently conveyed, Kevin….and so true (unfortunately).

  4. Kevin Densley says
