Ed’s note: Despite the photos being correctly sized, some phones are cutting off the last 20% on the right side. We have the finest programmers on the planet trying to sort this bug out. On other devices the photos should be complete.

Great pics JTH. Maybe one you missed was the old Sesame Street one of cooperation.

As a starter for Little Athletics at Landy Field Geelong, the under 10 girls were standouts. The gun would fire and after a few cursory squeals they’d take off like Oakleigh Platers.

Now, I’m no Stawell Gift starter but if they were more or less in one place at the one time – and mind you that took a bit of doing – a nanosecond after I said “set” the gun would go.

Problem was, halfway through a 100 metre sprint (sic) many would tire. The leaders would run on but the rest of the field would start running in wrong lanes while talking to their competitors.

They had a lot of fun though.

  2. Love the images ……and the one worders.

  3. Yvette Wroby says

Magnificent. The works and photos combined. Loved seeing your and other girls just into it.

  4. Phillip Dimitriadis says

Wonderful collage, JTH and Pierre. One image, one word opens up a multitude of ideas. All excellent snaps, though the ‘Concentration’ pic is an absolute beauty in terms of being in the zone.

  5. Terrific. Sport is essential.

  6. E.regnans says

    Wonder-ful.

Thank you for the wonderful pics, Pierre, and JTH, for the reminders, first, how important our kids are to us and our future, and second, how vital it is to help them find something they love and derive happiness from. Having just picked up my grandson from jiu jitsu, and been delighted by his love of the art itself and his hero worship of his sempei, that resonates. And lovely to see Miss A, John!)
