Almanac Lunches: Aftermath
At the Footy Almanac lunch today where special guest Colin Carter spoke about his book The Forgotten Years 1870-1897. Some terrific reading therein about VFL/VFA history. Highly recommended.
Then, of course there is the ‘after party’ pictured herein where post luncheon Almanackers settle back and watch the Aussies chase down 75 runs in the third Test.

(L-R Dips O’Donnell, Blair Reynolds, Peter Flynn, your author, John Harms).
In that grand Aussie sporting tradition, “oh I was always a great Head supporter” says one of our company having just flagged serious doubts about the bloke 20 minutes earlier. Yes, I’m looking at you Flynn.
Hope you are all well.

Nice pic. Looking forward to being able to attend a knackers lunch in Adelaide sometime soon.
Good to see everyone at the NFA. Yes, that was an enjoyable school in the aftremath.
Can’t believe we were nervous about 75 runs!
Very enjoyable day. Colin Carter was very clear in his argument.
Great day and even better company. Here’s to that same crew sharing an ale after a back-to-back season!
