Almanac Launch: We’re from Tigerland conducted by the MSO’s Ben Northey

On Tuesday (Dec 17) night, we launch The Tigers Almanac 2019 at the North Fitzroy Arms.

Each year we invite a musician to write a foreword and this year Richmond fan Bn Northey has penned a wonderful memoir about growing up in a Richmond family and loving the Tiges. (Swooper Northey is Ben’s uncle.) These days Ben is a conductor. He conducts the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra and has had a fantastic career in music. He is a mad Richmond fan as you will learn from his piece.

Ben will be at the launch on Tuesday night to conduct the singing of the Richmond song.

All welcome.

  1. How wonderful to have sense of musical culture and decorum as part of the launch of the mighty Tigers Almanac 2019 at the pub in Melbourne ….wish I could be there.
In the most non cultured way as Jack Dyer encouraged us to remember just make sure you “Eat em alive!!!”
Go Tiges!!!! from the Arctic Tiger
