Almanac Footy Tipping Competition 2021: And the winners are…

Hi Footy Almanac 2021 Tipsters,

Here are the results from our tipping comp. Keep in mind that our comp always finishes at the end of the home and away season. Thanks for being involved. (And look out for the emails in 2022 – about AFLW and AFL comps.

The main comp:

Congratulations to our winner on 138 tips, NormSmith89, often known as Troy ‘Crash’ Thompson, editor of World Footy News (check out the website) who had the form totally worked out for much of the season. (With the exception of one hiccup when he registered three correct tips in total). He wins $700 and a 2022 Almanac membership.

Second place was shared among four tipsters including Paul Bauer who lands yet another podium finish. He came from a fair way back over the last six rounds to finish on 136. Along with Peter Fuller who chased Crash for the second half of the season, and Bianca and Baethan. $50 each to you. We’ll give the 2022 membership to Paul Bauer as he had the lowest cumulative margin.

The Kids’ Comp:

Well done Ando! Andersson Sarll has been tipping with us since he was tiny – and he’s still very young. His Dad, Lawson, has been a supporter of the Almanac for a few years now. Well played Ando – that’s $50 and a 2022 membership (perhaps for you and Dad).

The Teams Comp:

Again, it was Geelong.

Team members (the top four tippers whose scores count) were Paul Bauer, Baethan, Cats 1956 and Fred Flanagan. You will each receive a $50 North Fitzroy Arms voucher.

Winners, can you please contact me so I can sort out prizemoney and vouchers.

Have a good (footy) break,
JTH

    Hi John
Thank you for the update on the results of the FA tipping comp. Will we see you and the family back in Melbourne in 2022?
    Best Wishes
(Fitzroy John) Milton – aka in the Facebook world as Edwin Lawler. But that’s another story.

  2. HI John,

    Thanks for your note.

Family Harms has decided to stay on in the Barossa in 2022. It’s a wonderful place! We miss Melbourne of course – how could you not miss Melbourne! Although the Melbourne of Lockdown seems very different. We look forward to travelling back to Northcote and Fitzroy from time to time once we get the green light.

Keep a spot for me at the bar at the North Fitzroy Arms.

    Regards
    JTH
