Comments

  1. All played their first senior football on the Murray River.
Wherever they were born or ended up playing AFL/SANFL/VFL their first senior footy was in places like Mildura, Merbein, Nyah, Loxton, Berri along the Murray River in Victoria or SA.
I think of it as the Citrus Select side. No shortages of oranges for 3/4 time break.
I look forward to receiving my copy of “Chris Scott: My Role in His Downfall (the Citrus Bob autobiography)”.

  2. Citrus Bob says

PB – not quite the answer I had in mind so I have sent your comment straight to the Independent Tribunal who know doubt will forward it on to the Integrity Commission. So there could be a lengthy delay unless with have some form of mediation in Perth when Geelong play South Fremantle.
Lovely to hear from you and is it a case that the Pivots have “No Danger No Win”?

  3. Mark 'Swish' Schwerdt says

I was going to say the same as PB

  4. Citrus Bob says

Swish – likewise I have sent your comment straight to the Independent Tribunal. Like PB there is a possibility of a fine rather than suspension but that is not up to me.
However, I can say that you are both very close to the real answer.

  5. Citrus Bob says

    NOT THE FIRST REPLY!

Swish – likewise I have sent your comment straight to the Independent Tribunal. Like PB there is a possibility of a fine rather than suspension but that is not up to me.
However, I can say that you are both very close to the real answer.

  6. Citrus Bob says

As I said to the SANDGROPER-CROWEATER not the answer in my book but close to it!. Likewise I have sent your reply to the Independent Tribunal but more that likely it will go higher to the Integrity Commission. If still know answer to qualify your answers the TOTALLY Independent judiciary of Edward McGuire and Jeffrey Kennett answer will be it.
    Keep on punchin’

  7. Peter Clark says

I am also on PB’s wavelength, but reckon the thing they have in common is that they all hail from Murray River towns.

  8. Citrus Bob says

PC – yes you are right but as I have told the other 2 whizzes that is not the answer I am looking for. Obviously do not want to give away any of my books!
Like them close but doesn’t win the chocolates. Yes the answer is a bit obtuse but we are all experts of our beloved game, some more than others.
Thanks for playing and I am enjoying your trip!

  9. Daryl Schramm says

I thought you were ‘Old School’ CB. You are sounding like a fully fledged member if the Awful Football Legion. Just give them a reprimand and move on!

  10. Hayden Kelly says

Stab in the dark .Given Trevor Poole came from Tempy and it would be a long bow to describe Tempy as a Murray River town with all due respect to the quizmaster I will say they all grew up in Mallee country

  11. Citrus Bob says

DS – I am old school and that is why I am concerned about where football in the ‘big’ league is heading. Now they are wanting less playing time! Why? So they can rake in more dollars from advertisers stuff the paid up supporters who cares about them Unless they want to purchase the eight different guernseys we will use this year!
    Don’t get me started!
Looking forward to the cricket in November after i release my book “A View From Fine Leg”

HK – You are correct and I apologise for that mistake Poole was a Tempygoya-patchewollock youngster who went to Richmond. However I still think he was involved in some way with the answer I want. Thanks for playing and yes they all grew up in Murray not necessarily Mallee country. Thanks for playing.
I will confer with you if I produce any more relevent teams.
