Audiobook Release: ‘Shootin’ Through’ by Sean Gorman
The Footy Almanac is happy to promote and support the release of Sean Gorman’s audiobook Shootin’ Through. See the details in the media release below.

“Fremantle author Sean Gorman is set to release his highly anticipated audiobook Shootin’ Through, narrated by actor and comedian Anthony ‘Lehmo’ Lehmann. This high-octane road narrative takes readers on a nostalgic ride back to 1979. The official audiobook launch will take place at PA Art Space in Perth on March 27 at 7.00pm and will be live streamed on Instagram, Tik Tok and Facebook.
Set in the endless expanse of the Nullarbor Plain, Shootin’ Through follows three teenagers on the run in a classic muscle car, an orange Valiant Charger. Fuelled by servo burgers, danger, desire and a thumping 1979 soundtrack, Gorman’s audiobook dives headfirst into the uncertain freedom of the open road.
When no publisher would take a chance on Shootin’ Through, Gorman did what his characters would do – he backed himself and got it done. The gamble paid off. And the word on the street has been loud enough for a local production company to option Shootin’ Through for a future adaptation.
Reviews by other Australian authors:
“This is the world that gave birth to `Suburban Boy’. These are my people. Bravo Mr. Gorman,” – Dave Warner
“Shootin’ Through comes at you like a full-tilt Charger on the wide-open road. Gorman’s ear for the vernacular of the era is great.” – David Whish-Wilson
The launch will feature readings, discussions, and exclusive merchandise available in-person and online.”
