Almanac Art – Kate Birrell: Street Rhythm Exhibition 21 May (opening night function) – 9th June
suffered are disappointing for them and us as spectators and fans, but how good is it to see a few of the not so well known players lift and take on the challenges presented. The boys were able to build a steady rhythm and gain a momentum that held across the four quarters.
Last night’s game closed the weekend, and Mother’s Day on a bright note.
Over the last few weeks I have had one eye on the footy, whilst also bringing together some of the painting work I have done over the last few years for an exhibition I am having as of next week.
The title of the exhibition is Street Rhythm and reflects upon the time I have been painting in my Glen Huntly studio. Through my urban portraits and paintings of street scenes and daily life in the neighbourhood I have also been exploring the way I paint.
