AFLW Round 3 – Haiku Bob: just a few points
breezy shadows
a magpie on the wing
coasting
lingering summer
the pounding of women hunting
the Sherrin
dusk
sunshine fills
the scoring end
clouds intersect
the gap between the two teams
disappears
watching on tv
I let the dog know what I think
of the umpires
scattered light
down to just a few points
between us
sun so bright
before it fades
we lose at the death

Absolutely loving the women’s footy.
HB.
Nice stuff, HB
I love the haiku about your dog. Classic. Good to be able to share the frustration in the moment.
