With Champy away on assignment for a few weeks, it wasn’t until after Round 9 that the next batch of tunes was offered.
Despite the triple entendre of the Bombers/Docklands related tune, it passed unnoticed by the selectors, as did my “change trains at South Yarra” attempt to repeat the earlier success of “Frankston Line”, even though I was smugly proud of the “… Hampton not Highett …” reference.
I started noticing that Greg seemed to have his favourites/regulars who got a guernsey every week; had I been rewarded enough, or had the coach stamped my papers already? Had I squibbed it at a crucial contest, and would I pay for it for the rest of the year?
I’m up on the bridge
Looking over the platforms
I’m at Spencer Street
The buildings so high
I’m not sure where I go
Someone help me please
