2004 – The (Almost) All Australian SSA Team: Spurred on to Greatness

ssa aa team 2004

This SSA 15/Under carnival was unusual in that as well as two Victorian teams, two WA teams were entered. The “WA 1” team were undefeated winners on the sandy home soil.

Scores and BPs from each game are here and for the footy nerds reading this, there are a few sightings of current AFL players in there, that didn’t get an AA blazer.

Similar to the 2003 artefacts, there’s a photo of the team and a list of names but not together. I’ve filled in some of the blanks for you.

If you know about what happened to any of these blokes (that Mills dude obviously never kicked on), or can even put a face to a co-ordinate, do your best in the comments below.

Interesting again. There seem to be a few brothers of AFL players named in those match reports. And a team of Garletts.

When do the isolationist free-settlers join in?

Thanks Skip, SA were out of the picture from 1998-2007
