Two things become apparent when reviewing this team, selected after the 2002 SSA 15 and Under championships held on the Mornington Peninsula.
Firstly, there was no shortage of peroxide or lemon rinse back then.
Secondly, it was future AFL players to the front, journeymen to the rear.
Once again, plenty of unheralded names appear (although Coburg supporters would dispute that). Although they may not have made it to the highest levels, my brief research has found that quite a number of these kids became highly sought after in state league and local footy ranks.
