WAFL – Round 17: Demons alive, Tigers go down

The Demons kept the dream alive with a solid victory over the Lions at Lathlain Park. Matthew Moody was again in good form, Joel Leeson kicked three goals in a lively performance and Chance Bateman had his best game of the year. Michael Wood was again impressive for Subiaco.

Swans took control at Claremont Oval in the second quarter and didn’t look back against the top team. Swan Districts are beginning to look very dangerous while the Tigers have a long injury list. Tony Notte kicked five goals for Swans, Jamie Bennell was in sparkling form, Tom Roach ran hard and Tim Geappen kicked three goals. Chad Jones kicked four goals for Claremont while Luke Blackwell was good in his comeback and Paul Medhurst played well.
