The Ashes 2019 – Pick the First Test team: Ian Hauser wins bragging rights

After careful consideration of all entries for our competition over the last week to name the Australian Test team, Ian Hauser is the winner with ten correct names. His one miss was nominating Mitchell Starc instead of Peter Siddle.

Congratulations Ian and thanks to all contestants.

Any Almanacker wishing to have a headstart on handicaps in the next hair-brained competition I think up is welcome to buy me an ale at next Friday’s lunch at Percy’s.

Roger, I’m not too crash on selecting rugby league winners, so this one comes as a bit of a surprise. I’ll go for Milky Bar or Snack, please. Perhaps I can pick them up at the Odd Friday Lunch on the 23rd. That way I’ll be able to shout you a Furphy. Cheers.

Copy big bear. Look forward to seeing you there Ian.
