The Ashes 2017/18 – Fourth Test, the MCG: Call For Writers

This is an invitation for writers of Test cricket; all styles, all ages; to submit their observations and thoughts on the fourth Ashes Test in Melbourne.

Boxing Day is an institution, a permanent part of the Australian Christmas calendar. I’m sure there are infinite memories to share (I have a few), so nominate a day in the comments below to help us cover each day of the game at the Footy Almanac.

With Starc out, will the Aussies stutter? Are the Poms already mentally cooked? Does it really matter that the cricket doesn’t objectively matter? It still matters on a subliminal, immeasurable level, right?

Surprise entries are always very welcome. You’re not bound by the schedule, either. Just write when the words come.

In addition, a few of the Almanac guard will be heading for a couple of cokes/shandies/pots/pints after the fourth day’s play at The Cricketer’s Arms on Punt Road (just over from Tigerland). Feel free to pop along and say hello.
