The choice of Sydney as the host for the Olympics in 2000, was related to the perception of Australia being a positive example of the good life and of Reconciliation. Recently, I have become involved in a student Reconciliation group. I have helped promote Reconciliation Week and learnt so much about a side of Australia I barely knew.
